This quick, easy to read, illustrated guide introduces the different ways that communities can save – or own – their local pub.
It covers finding out about the pub itself, getting support locally and all of the steps you can take to make sure your community hub isn’t lost.
Pubs, along with local parks, your town hall or shop are all ‘assets’ that can be managed or owned by communities. You can get grants and support to take control over them through the Community Ownership and Management of Assets (COMA) programme. Find out more and how to apply here on the My Community website. Or if you have any questions, you can ask the My Community Network, housed in the Just Act forum.
