Today is the last day of live discussions for volunteers’ week, and we thought we’d run it as an open session. So, if you’ve got any questions you want to ask about anything that’s been talked about this week, this is the place to do it!

We’ll be online at 12.30 if anyone wants to take part in a live chat, so hopefully we’ll see you then!

Mine was a simple question: should a Council-owned theatre be listed as a community asset within the Localism Act 2011?

    Hi Trevor Et Al.

You would need to seek advice on that. My suggestion would be ideally yes – a council owned theatre would be listed as a community asset within Localism Act, 2011. Within the context of COMA (which Stephen Rolph is leading on at Locality) – applicants to the programme which have an ACV list probably have a stronger evidence base and a more solid application in many instances, for example, than some applicants who do not.

You should contact Locality for more information at http://www.locality.org.uk , or more guidance.
