Greetings with the way land is being swallowed up by these cartell multi lateral companies. s , is there a way community groups can register land and Community buildings for community use and raise the capital and running costs by Community shares initiatives. Are there any experienced organisations out there who offer support .

    Thank you

    Regards

    Dear Kenya.

Interesting query. My suggestion would be to contact the My Community Rights helpline on 0845 458 8336 and ask to speak to an assets specialist.

    Thanks,

    Chris (NALC)

Yes, there’s defintely a way to get ‘community assets’ recognised as such locally. It’s called the Right to Bid, Assets of Community Value. And you can find out a lot more about how it works from the Step by Step guide on the My Community website: http://mycommunity.org.uk/resources/the-community-right-to-bid-step-by-step/
