We are pleased to let you know that we have extended the deadline for applications to the First Steps programme until Friday 5 June.

We are particularly looking to receive bids from the East of England, South East and East Midlands regions, but we will still accept bids from other areas (except for London and North West which are already over subscribed).

Click here to download the application form

First Steps gives small community groups the freedom to develop action plans to improve their neighbourhood. First Steps areas will receive support to decide upon practical actions to make positive changes in their community.

The First Steps offer includes the following support:

    – Support from your own Relationship Manager who will act as a mentor
    – Access to three training events which will offer advice and skills on how to work with others
    in your neighbourhood
    – Free leadership training
    – Access to a grant of £2,500 to help you write a community action plan

You can also find guidance and further information about the programme on the My Community Website
If you require any assistance or want to discuss any aspect of the First Steps programme, please email the team on firststeps@cdf.org.uk or call 020 7812 5437.

We look forward to receiving your application.
