One of the challenges we can sometimes face is making sure we are providing activities that people (young people in our case) actually want. We visit families at home on a regular basis to make sure everything is kept as personal as possible. How have other people kept what they are doing relevant to the area they are working in?
We did door knocking consultation for one of our Edible Bristol bed projects, leaving printed letters behind if we had no response. We added a hand written note with a smiley face on the top to some of them – they got the best response later.
Other times, we’ve put up laminated signs in an area we want to work inviting people to come to an outdoor meeting to talk about what everyone wants to do/achieve.
