I’m here too!
That sounds familiar with what we here at Just Act – Becca/Rich, how do you hear about the events and fun days to meet like minded people? And do you make connections with the Local Council or Council Voluntary Service (CVS)?
We usually hear about events through social media. Hull has a population of 250,000 and a very active Twitter community, so it’s just the right size for keeping on top of most activity and events. Aside from that, I also work at Hull Truck Theatre and Hull University, which both very much have their fingers on the pulse of local events.
I’m often in contact with members of the council, as well as the Bondholders, Business Improvement District team and various local festivals, but for those who aren’t I’d recommend signing up to a local e-newsletter or two.
