I think COMA is going to produce some great examples of the community taking on more “complex” green spaces – the work going on in Staffordshire, looking at different sites under different ownerships, and in Southbourne, about acquiring and managing footpaths and orchards, will both produce great learning.
A real theme from COMA is the future of country parks which by their nature are pretty complex. I will be looking forward to drawing out some meaty learning from them!
Maj here from Locality working on the Community Assets programme.
Are there any good, interesting, complex examples of community management of open spaces? would love to study one and take back some learning.
