We have a difficult situation. Felixstowe is separated from the rest of Suffolk Coastal DC by the River Deben. We are regarded as a cash cow for smaller towns, such as Aldeburgh and Woodbridge.
Our Council is dominated by one party, and they appear to be solely concerned with selling off Felixstowe’s assets to keep down Council Tax. There is NO discussion and the law is often ignored, often using commercial sensitivity as the means of keeping contracts secret.
How can a publicly-owned theatre NOT be regarded as a public asset within the Localism Act 2011?
