You may know about the special constabulary, the force of trained volunteers who work with and support their local police for a minimum of four hours a week. But there are other opportunities too.
For example, Police Support Volunteers (PSV)s are citizen volunteers who perform tasks such as front counter services and following up crime reports, to complement the duties performed by police officers and staff.
