A £10m fund providing grants to projects to develop a renewable energy generation project is available from the Urban Community Energy Fund (UCEF).
A grant of up to £20,000 is available to fund the early stages of development such as feasibility studies and community consultation, and a loan of up to £130,000 can then fund more detailed development work to get your project to a stage where it is ‘investment ready’.
Any of the following groups are eligible to apply for the fund:
- Registered Company (including CICs)
- Charitable Incorporated Organisation
- Registered Societies (formerly known as IPS)
- Parish and Town Councils
Local Authorities, businesses and Housing Associations can apply in partnership with a local group that represents members of the community.
